Ryan Muir is the music photographer everyone suggests to you when you’re writing a list about music photographers. Seriously. From his photos of M83, Foster the People, Wiz Khalifa, and the Roots, it’s clear that he was born to do this. Prepare to be left speechless.

Ryan’s an animal. We ask him to do the impossible every year for our annual Summer Guide, and shoot 50-60 bars and restaurants over a two week span just as the weather gets nice enough for outdoor spaces to be opening. It’s always a ton of work, and not only does Ryan deliver, but the shots always come back looking incredible. Aside from being an excellent photographer, Ryan is reliable, takes direction well and always hits deadline. What more could you ask for?
— Andrew Steinthal - Co-Founder, The Infatuation
We’ve had a few photogs at Celebrate Brooklyn over the years, but none of them come close to Ryan in terms of composure and attitude. Always a pleasure to work with and be around, Ryan has a natural eye for capturing moments on ‘film’. I always comment on the composure of his pics, noting a clear foreground, mid, and background. As a lighting designer seizing the whole picture but focusing on a clear element is the job; having Ryan as a colleague assures that my work is accurately portrayed. I highly recommend Ryan- he’s a cool and talented photographer!
— Brendon Boyd - Dir. of Production, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!
